Applications period closed
The applications period for Mosaic is closed. We should have an answer for everyone - selected or not - in a few weeks. All applicants will be contacted by phone or mail. Thanks for your interest.

2004 dates
We've settled on dates for the summer 2004 program. It will run from June 20 through July 2 at San Jose State University. Go here for an application. And while you're at it, check out the online version of the paper, produced by last year's students. You can find it here.

Press conference
The Mosaic gang got a taste of real-world journalism today when San Jose Police Department spokeswoman Catherine Unger held a mock press conference about a fictional crime. Unger fielded questions from the "press corps,'' and the workshop participants then had to write a story "on deadline."
